Briefing for coaches, teams and adjudicators.

Briefing/training for adjudicators.

Buffet lunch at hotel.

1.40pm

Buses depart for Orakei Marae.

2.15pm

Opening Ceremony by the Governor General of New Zealand.

4.30pm

Buses return to hotel. Evening at leisure.

Thursday 11th August

8.15am

Buses depart hotel. All participants must check out and load all luggage onto their designated bus.

9am

Welcome at Rangitoto College.

9.30am

Round One: That technology has outstripped morality.

11.15am

Buses depart for Corran School.

12pm

Lunch at Corran School.

1pm

Round Two: That feminism is corrupting the family.

3pm

First bus departs for Auckland Airport -- remainder of party given afternoon tea.

3.30pm

Second and third buses depart for Auckland airport.

3.55pm

First group flies to Wellington -- met by billets.

4.40pm

Second group flies to Wellington -- met by billets.

5.55pm

Third group flies to Wellington -- met by billets.

Participants gather at assembly point (First Floor of ANZ Bank North End Branch).

Buses depart for Kapiti College.

Round Three: That technology has outstripped morality. (Teams debate the reverse of the side debated in Round One).

11.15am

Buses depart Kapiti College for Paraparaumu College. Boxed lunch distributed on arrival.

12pm

Topics distributed for Round Four.

1.45pm

Round Four: Impromptu.

3.45pm

Buses depart for assembly point in Wellington.

4.45pm

Met by billets. Free evening.

 Saturday 13th August

World Schools Debating Council Meeting at Weir House, Victoria University of Wellington, Gladstone Street, Kelburn.

Buses depart from Wellington assembly point for Lindale Farm.

Buses depart from Lindale Farm.

5pm

Free time until evening activities.

7.30pm

Theatresports Evening in the Activities Room, Student Union Building, Victoria University of Wellington. Until 9.30pm.

 Sunday 14th August

World Schools Debating Council Meeting (continues if necessary) at St. Patrick's College, Silverstream.

12pm

Meet at St. Patrick's College, Silverstream.

12.30pm

Topics distributed for 'Bye' Round.

'Bye' Round: Impromptu

Afternoon tea.

Individual Speakers' Competition, Round 1

Afternoon tea at St. Patrick's College. Freshen up and change for reception.

Buses depart for Government House.

4.30pm for 5pm

Reception at Government House, Wellington. Welcome by the Governor General of New Zealand, Her Excellency Dame Catherine Tizard. Her Excellency will mix and mingle with guests. Refreshments will be served. Until 6pm.

Buses depart for Makoura College, Wellington.

9.30am

Welcome at Makoura College.

Grand Final in Banquet Hall, Parliament Buildings.

Reception hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister of New Zealand, Rt Hon Don McKinnon, at Parliament Buildings.

Farewell Dinner.
