Dear Colleagues,
Just a quick update on the state of entries now that the official deadline has passed. I have tried to assemble all the information quite quickly after getting back from holiday and am bound to have made mistakes. I will be contacting each country over the next few days to discuss exactly what is still needed in terms of information, money, etc.
Please remember that I need the following:
[a] a Team Entry Form
[b] an Individual Entry Form for every participant (of any role)
[c] an Adjudicators Form for every judge
[d] a passport photo (5cm x 4cm, with name and country on the back) of
every participant (if you want a free travelcard!)
[e] your room sharing preferences and the dates you will be staying at the
Hammersmith Novotel
[f] logos of your sponsor if you would like it printed in the Participants
Handbook.
Here's what I believe I have so far. Please let me know if there are any glaring errors - otherwise I will be in touch. If it says "payment" that does not necessarily mean you don't owe us any more (or vice versa)!
Australia - all forms, payment, photo from Judy, some dates & room preferences (CE & SP), logo
Argentina - confirmation of entry, dates & room preferences
Bangladesh - ???
Belarus - all forms, photos, money to follow
Bermuda - all forms, payment, photos, dates & room preferences (well done EV!)
Brunei - confirmation of entry
Canada - all forms, payment
Czech Republic - Team Entry Form, payment
England - some forms, payment, dates (team only)
Estonia - all forms, payment
Finland - all forms, payment
Germany - all forms - except Individual Form from Michael Pates
Greece - all forms - except Individual Form from George Vassilaras, payment to follow, judges to confirm
Ireland - vague hints you might be coming, dates from TC
Israel - all forms, payment, dates & room preferences, logo
Latvia - ???
Lithuania - all forms
Netherlands - Team Form, Indiv Forms from Carly Bakker & Bibilotte Duvesteyn (am I missing the others?)
New Zealand - payment, Team Form, dates and room preferences
Pakistan - confirmation of entry
Peru - all forms, payment, dates and room preferences
Poland - confirmation of entry
Portugal - Team Form
Scotland - all forms, payment, dates from DG and CW
Singapore - all forms, payment
Slovak Republic - confirmation of entry
Slovenia - all forms except Judge Form from Polona Frelih, payment
South Africa - all forms except Team Form, payment, dates & room preferences
Spain - all forms, payment, room preferences, logo
USA - Team Form, payment, dates & room preferences
Wales - confirmation of entry
Making 29 teams confirmed + Bangladesh who we are expecting. Cyprus, Croatia, Hungary and Mauritius will not be joining us this year but hope to see us in 2000. Latvia I don't think I have heard anything from. Malaysia (received photos, forms & payment), Japan and the USA are sending observers and many other countries may find themselves having extra judges - i.e. international judges based in Britain attending at our invitation.
As I say, I will be in touch with each of you individually as soon as possible. Please don't wait though if you have any questions.
