Visa information
Any foreign visitor of countries other than Canada may enter Korea without a visa for a stay of up to 30 days or less for tourism, transit to another country or business(without any employment activites) when carrying a valid passport and confirmed outbound tickets. Exceptions to this rule are :
- Persons who have no nationality
- Nationals of Cambodia, Cuba, China P.R., India, Iran, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Nigeria, Ghana, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tadjikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Macedonia, Laos and Palestine
Special visa exemption agreements do exist between Korea and the countries listed below, provided that their citizens do not participate in remunerative activites while staying in Korea:
- For a period of 30 days: Tunisia
- For a period of 60 days: Italy, Portugal, Lesotho
- For a period of 90 days:
- Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the U.K.
- Asia & Oceania: Bangladesh, Israel, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Singapore and Thailand.
- Americas: Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Columbia, Commonwealth of Dominica, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, St. Lucia, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Surinam and Trinidad & Tobago.
- Africa: Liberia and Morocco

- Completed visa application form
- One recent passport-type colour photo
- Passport with remaining validity of at least 6 months
- Visa fee (please contact The Korean Embassy or Consualte for fee information).
