Registration is now open for the WSDC in Athens, to be held from February 9 to 19, 2009!
The Greek organizing committee would like to inform you of the following:
- The registration fee has been set at EUR 450.00 for each debater (3-5 per team), coach (1 per team) and judge (1-2 per team). The fee for any additional judges is EUR 500.00 and for any observers it is EUR 750.00.
- This fee will cover accommodation for 10 days (arrival on the 9th, departure on the 19th), including breakfast for all days, transportation to the venues and at least four lunches and three dinners. Being able to provide as many lunches, dinners and social events as possible is one of our key aims and we’re working very hard towards this.
- Team registration fees should be deposited by 1 December 2008, as announced at the latest Council Meeting. Please make your payments as a team and not individually. If you need another payment arrangement, please contact us, by sending an email to: finance.wsdc2009@googlemail.com. No refunds will be made after 30 December 2008. After registration closes we won’t be able to accept any more teams. Team registration involves two stages:

For the time being and until further notice the bank account being used is that of the PANHELLENIC FORENSICS ASSOCIATION ("ΠΑΝΕΛΛΗΝΙΑ ΕΝΩΣΗ ΦΟΡΕΝΣΙΚΣ") with Alpha Bank Greece. The SWIFT code is CRBAGRAAXXX and the IBAN is: GR52 0140 1380 1380 0232 0002 826. Please make sure that your country’s name appears in the narrative for any transfers.

Send an e-mail to reg.wsdc2009@googlemail.com , including the number of people you will be sending to the competition (ex. 5 debaters, 1 coach, 2 judges, 1 observer) and the date and time of the transaction. We will not need the names of any of the participants, coaches or judges until the 15th of December.
- We would really appreciate it if a country that has the funds already could transfer registration fees as soon as possible. This will greatly help us to meet the down- payment to the hotel on the 30th of October. We understand that some of the teams will not be able to raise the funds by that date and we would very grateful to those willing and able to do so.
